• FATA Capacity Building Program, subcontract with DAI from USAID. EI provides management and monitoring and evaluation services, remote database hosting, link to GIS, and major improvements in IT infrastructure of the FATA Secretariat. 2 international and 2 local long-term staff with multiple short-term experts. $4,515,874 through 30 November 2010.

• FATA Livehood Development Program, subgrant from AED from USAID. EI provides agricultural sector development, monitoring and evaluation services, remote database hosting, and all IT infrastructure services and support. 12 long-term local staff with multiple short-term experts. $6,682,526 through February 28, 2013.

• Pakistan Agribusiness Consultancy, a contract from the Qatari Diar Real Estate Investment Company, for a feasibility study of investments in livestock and dairy (buffalo-milk production) projects in two locations in Punjab, Pakistan. EI provides international and local experts in agricultural development, livestock and dairy experts, and agricultural sector economic analysis. $149,000 through 2008.

• Agriculture Reconstruction and Development Program for Iraq, subcontract with DAI under this USAID contract. EI provided agricultural technology in wheat production, wheat seed cleaning management, agricultural sector programming, design services for a sheep production program, monitoring and evaluation for the project, and completed of the final evaluation analysis. $2 million, completed November 2006.

• Laos Smallholder Development Project (PPTA No 3603-Laos), a contract with the Asian Development Bank. EI provided the full team to design a project to promote smallholder agriculture and small-scale agribusiness. The loan was approved and implementation is ongoing. $671,000 completed June 2002.

• Uzbekistan, Grains Productivity Improvement Project (PPTA No.3094-UZB). EI provided the full team to design a $40 million project to increase the yields and technical and economic efficiency of Uzbekistan’s wheat subsector. The loan was approved and implementation is ongoing. $768,500 completed April 2001.
